But the EC has decided to set aside the services of volunteers in view of the elections. Due to this, the process of distribution of pensions has stopped. Pensions were disbursed at the Secretariats till the first week of April. When it came to the month of May, there was a slightly embarrassing development. The government has decided that due to the lack of staff of the government departments, they cannot distribute the pensions. But the opposition at that time alleged that the chief secretary of the state government made this announcement to benefit the YCP.
In relation to the month of May, there were problems in the distribution of pensions. 33 elderly people who were seeking pensions around offices and banks became a controversy. The YCP started alleging that Chandrababu had spilled poison on the volunteers… because he complained to the EC that the process of distribution of pensions from house to house was stopped. Chandrababu again alleged that there was a deliberate delay in the distribution of pensions.. This is a triple failure of the government. Accusations and counter-accusations continued between the ruling party and the opposition. Somehow the distribution of pensions has been completed.
But now the question arises as to how the pensions will be distributed for the month of June. Door to door delivery? Is it provided at the secretariats? Otherwise will it be deposited in bank accounts? That should be known. Both the ruling party and the opposition responded to this before the month of April and May. But compared to those two months, their response now is marginal. Because then it was polling time. Now the polling is over. That is why there is a talk that no one cares about the distribution of pensions. 60 lakh pension beneficiaries are waiting for the government announcement. But CS Jawahar Reddy did not make any statement. There does not seem to be a situation where the pony volunteers are being taken on duty. The government says that it is not possible if it is provided through the secretariats. In total, there is only three more days left.
