AP Volunteers: Volunteers are more powerful than representatives of local bodies. They have been given so many rights and duties. Given super powers. But they are limited to that. None of those powers wanted the future of volunteers. No matter how many types of powers are given, no matter how many rights are given, the volunteers are left without any assurance. The ruling party intends to use their services in the elections. However, the opposition has filed a complaint with the Election Commission regarding their services. Due to this, volunteers are being fired on a large scale across the state.
The average monthly salary for volunteers is five thousand rupees. For the past five years they have worked more for YCP than the people and the government. Joined to take the policies of YCP to the people. Those who have YCP ideology are mostly volunteers. That is why such people have fallen at the feet of the leaders of the ruling party. But now the leaders need them in the elections. That's why you resign. The YCP leaders are offering that we will pay the salary for that month. It is our government that will come.. Again they are giving you an illusion that they will continue as volunteers. Due to this, a large number of volunteers are resigning and participating in the YCP campaign. But as long as they have power in their hands, someone listens to them. But if the volunteer gives up the job and goes to those 50 families… the way people react is changing.
On the other hand, the opposition and anti-YCP media are keeping an eagle eye. Wherever volunteers are seen in campaign meetings, their photos are sent to the higher authorities. A section of media is overreacting in this regard. Wherever volunteers, ration dealers and employment guarantee staff participate, their photos reach the Election Commission officials within seconds. As the ruling BJP is in the coalition at the centre, the officials are also responding quickly. They are being removed. On the other hand, many volunteers are worried that after the change of government tomorrow, the TDP leaders will target them anyway. The moment after these results came, they decided to resign. No matter how you look at it, volunteers are becoming sacrificial animals. They feel that they have wasted five years of precious time. They say that even if they had done another private job for these five years, they would have got a higher standard and better salary.
