Bangalore: A young man from the state of Kerala is studying in Krupanidhi College, Bangalore. On the night of August 30, he was attacked by seniors near St. Stephen's Marthoma Church in Hado Siddapura area. Saviour, Vishnu and Sarath, three seniors studying in his college and eight other students attacked the student. They were forced to draw the grown beard and trim the moustache. When he did not agree to it, they attacked him.. Those youths have been following the student since April. They are under pressure to remove the overgrown mustache and beard. Ragging was committed against him several times in the college campus. However, the young man did not speak out.
On the evening of the attack, a senior called him to come to a church. Not expecting this, he went there with his room mates. They pressured him to shave immediately after going there. He did not agree to that. Even his friends disagreed. They attacked him en masse. After that, the student's friends rushed him to the hospital. As the injuries were severe, the student underwent surgery on his shoulder. Moreover, those students threatened the student's family in the hospital. The parents of the affected student filed a complaint at the police station. Bellandur police registered a case against those students under various sections. However, the college owner has not yet responded to this.
