Before the 2019 elections, Nandamuri Balakrishna turned producer and made a film called NTR in two parts on the biography of his father Sr. NTR. TDP was in power at that time.
Biopic Movies: Strong story.. Engaging narrative.. Must see Actors' performances.. Must listen Songs.. A movie will be successful only when all these are in balance. But ignoring all these.. naming it as a biopic.. hiding political interests.. if it is forced, people will be dragged. Biopics like Nag Ashwin's “Savitri”, Mahendra Singh's “MS Dhoni” have entertained the people.. Because people are watching them.. If biopics of political leaders are forced to be taken and pushed.. the campaign expenses will not come.. Producers with political interests should know this. The makers of the recent film Yatra_2 are also facing almost the same situation. No matter how much budget is spent on this movie.. even if the people are brought to the theaters with the encouragement of the ruling party leaders.. there is no result. Not only Yatra_2.. No matter how great Pankaj Tripathi acted in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's biopic “My Atal Who”, it is understandable that even the BJP workers did not know that the movie was released.
Before the 2019 elections, Nandamuri Balakrishna turned producer and made a film called NTR in two parts on the biography of his father Sr. NTR. TDP was in power at that time. Moreover, a director named Mahi V Raghav made a Yatra movie on the biography of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. At that time Yatra movie was successful, two Movies made on NTR's biography failed miserably. Even though the TDP leaders themselves bought tickets for this movie and brought the audience to the theatres, it was of no use. YCP leaders are currently facing the same situation in the case of Yatra_2 movie. Orders have been received from the YCP leadership to take the audience and those benefiting from the government schemes to this movie. Even though the party leaders are implementing them, the audience is not receiving them well. If the Telugu drama is the same.. In our neighboring state of Tamil Nadu, a movie called Thalaivi has been made on the biography of the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Crores of rupees were spent and this movie was produced in pan India range. Despite Kangana Ranaut's excellent performance, people in her home state ignored the film. Nawazuddin Siddique's film “Thackarey” did not even cost the producer's publicity. Even the film The Accidental Prime Minister, which was made on the biography of Manmohan Singh, was ignored. If a film called Modi is made on the biography of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the audience will not care. Vivek Oberoi's role as Modi was lived up to but to no avail.
In fact the politicians described above are all great. They took many revolutionary decisions in their political life. They worked as Chief Ministers and Prime Ministers and seeded radical changes in the state and the country.. However, Movies made on their biographies failed at the box office. The producers were left with heavy losses. Although Muncheti Kankanan is who is behind those producers.. the audience did not care. Even now, if the director and producers make films based on the real situation, there is a possibility that the audience will support them.
