CM Revanth Reddy

CM Revanth Reddy: No matter how many mistakes have been made… no matter how many projects have been built to collapse… there has never been any problem in water management in the last 5 years. Farmers got water. Water flowed from Kaleswaram to Karuvu Seema Medak. Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar were also flooded. But KCR wanted to point out the mistakes.. The Congress government left water in projects. But the curse was to release that water. Now the farmers are facing water shortage. There is no drinking water. And the question that is bothering everyone is how Revanth Sarkar, who cannot see ahead, will get through this dry season.

“Last year the rains did not fall properly. As a result there is no water in the reservoirs. The sun is getting darker. At such a time, there are demands from the farmers to provide irrigation water. However, there is no water supply. Farmers should understand,” said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. It has been announced that they will ensure that there is no problem of drinking water during summer. He made the above comments after starting the Rythu Nestham program. The situation in the state is as per his comments. Nagarjunasagar reached dead storage. Farmers are agitating for irrigation water.

Last year in the last week of July, the heavy rains brought water all at once. But the water was wasted due to the silt of the ponds. Despite the completion of the projects, there is no storage of water as expected due to lack of storage water capacity. As a result, most of the projects reached dead storage in the first week of February. On the other hand, two pillars of the Madigadda-like uplift scheme have collapsed. Due to this, there is no situation to lift water from Godavari. On the other hand, motors related to pump houses got submerged in water during the last monsoon.. They were imported from other countries at that time. Experts have to come from there to repair them.. As there is no clarity on who will bear the cost, they are not working. As a result, studies show that there is severe irrigation water shortage across the state.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who launched the Rythu Nestham video conference program on Wednesday, also revealed the drought conditions in the state. Revanth announced that the farmers who lost their crops did not receive compensation due to the previous government not joining the Fasal Bima Yojana scheme, and they are joining the scheme keeping in mind the interests of the farmers. Farmers should not be limited to commercial crops only.. In view of Telangana lands, it is possible to cultivate 22 crops. Revanth Reddy, who announced that the Rythu Nestham scheme is being implemented experimentally in 110 centers in the state, interacted with the farmers online. He knew the difficulties they were facing in cultivation. He promised to solve the problems.

Revanth Reddy, who is saying that there is no water in general, now is a drought. The question is why the existing water has been left in vain from the Kaleswaram projects. The farmers are protesting that why the project was not lifted from there to Ellampalli, Mid Maneru and then to Siddipet, Illanthakunta and Medak projects. Criticisms are being heard that Revanth Reddy is responsible for this drought in an attempt to point out the failures of BRS.
