It is known to all that Ashwin, brother of famous anchor Omkar, has been a Hero in Movies since time immemorial. He has created a unique mark for himself in the industry by choosing diverse stories and playing diverse roles. Ashwin received the first blockbusters in his career with the 'Raju Gari Gadhi' series, and now he has done the latest film 'Hidimba'. The promotional content of the movie, starring Nandita Shweta as the heroine, has created good expectations among the audience, and today it has a grand release worldwide. And let's see in this review whether the movie lives up to those expectations.
Abhay (Ashwin Babu) and Adya (Nandita Shweta) fall in love while undergoing training in police training. After that due to some unexpected incident these two get separated. Police training Adya and Abhay also become IPS officers. But the incident of women being kidnapped consecutively in the city creates a sensation. Abhay and Adya will have to work as a team again for this case. During the investigation, a gang of hardened criminals named Boya from Kala Bando is caught. They free the women trapped in their gang. Before you think that this kidnapping case is over, another girl gets kidnapped. It turns out that the gang that was caught the other day while searching for her, now the gang that kidnapped this girl is different. No one is actually doing these kidnappings. What they really want is, what is the link between this kidnapping and the Hidimba tribe? To know all this, you have to watch the movie.
It is an investigation thriller linked with history. The director directed the screenplay of this story in a non-linear manner. That is, while showing the scenes happening in the present, he shows the scenes that happened in the past. Shooting is very important for films with screenplay like this. Apart from that, editing should also be done carefully. There is a chance that the audience will get confused if there is a difference between the two. The director of this movie failed here. From the beginning of the movie to the first half, the screenplay goes very fast. But when the investigation starts, the confusion starts in the audience. Every viewer is in doubt as to what the original director wanted to say and what he was saying.
A good story is not told in the way a director should tell it, so this film feels like a muddled screenplay to the viewers. When it comes to the Actors, Ashwin Babu is seen on the silver screen as if he has made this film with great effort. Compared to the previous Movies, his performance has improved a lot. Not to mention Nandita Shweta. Like always, this time also she gave a wonderful performance. Also, the background music provided by Vikas is the highlight of this movie.
