Godfather.. this movie was ‘not a bad father’ at the box office. Not as much a hit as Waltheru Veeraya, nor as a disaster as Ala Ani Acharya. That is not a success equal to that of Chiranjeevi. This movie, which saved Chiranjeevi’s reputation in the box office circuit, has now established his reputation on the silver screen as well.
The Godfather movie was aired on Gemini TV as a world television premiere. Directed by Mohan Raja, this remake movie got 7.7 TRP. This is better than the rating of Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya. More to the point, Acharya got better ratings than Chiranjeevi’s Saira and Godfather got better ratings than Acharya’s.
It cannot be said that this is a solid number. Because movies like Bangarraju, F3, Akhanda got better numbers than Godfather on TV. Godfather can’t be compared with films like Ala Vaikunthapuramulo, Sarileru Neekevvaru, which broke records in ratings.
Chiranjeevi’s latest movie Waltheru Veeraiya is also going to hit the screens soon. There are plenty of possibilities for this movie to get highest TRPs.
Honorable ‘Godfather’
గాడ్ ఫాదర్.. బాక్సాఫీస్ బరిలో ఈ సినిమా ‘నాట్ ఏ బ్యాడ్ ఫాదర్’ అనిపించుకుంది. వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య అంత హిట్ కాదు, అలా అని ఆచార్య అంత డిజాస్టర్ కూడా కాదు. అలా అని చిరంజీవి స్థాయికి తగ్గ సక్సెస్ కూడా కాదు. ఉన్నంతలో బాక్సాఫీస్ బరిలో చిరంజీవి పరువు కాపాడిన ఈ సినిమా, ఇప్పుడు బుల్లితెరపై కూడా పరువు నిలబెట్టింది.
వరల్డ్ టెలివిజన్ ప్రీమియర్ గా జెమినీ టీవీలో ప్రసారమైంది గాడ్ ఫాదర్ సినిమా. మోహన్ రాజా దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన ఈ రీమేక్ సినిమాకు 7.7 టీఆర్పీ వచ్చింది. గతంలో చిరంజీవి నటించిన ఆచార్య సినిమాకు వచ్చిన రేటింగ్ కంటే ఇది మెరుగైనది. ఇంకా చెప్పాలంటే, చిరంజీవి నటించిన సైరా సినిమా కంటే ఆచార్యకు, ఆచార్య సినిమా కంటే గాడ్ ఫాదర్ కు మంచి రేటింగ్స్ వచ్చాయి.
అలా అని దీన్ని ఘనమైన నంబర్ గా చెప్పుకోవడానికి వీల్లేదు. ఎందుకంటే, టీవీల్లో గాడ్ ఫాదర్ కంటే బంగార్రాజు, ఎఫ్3, అఖండ లాంటి సినిమాలకు మంచి నంబర్స్ వచ్చాయి. ఇక రేటింగ్స్ లో రికార్డులు బద్దలుకొట్టిన అల వైకుంఠపురములో, సరిలేరు నీకెవ్వరు లాంటి సినిమాలతో గాడ్ ఫాదర్ ను అస్సలు పోల్చి చూడలేం.
త్వరలోనే చిరంజీవి తాజా చిత్రం వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య కూడా టీవీల్లో ప్రత్యక్షంకాబోతోంది. ఈ సినిమాకు హయ్యస్ట్ టీఆర్పీలు వచ్చే అవకాశాలు పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నాయి.
