Koneru Konappa: In the wake of KCR's announcement that he will contest the parliamentary elections with the Bahujan Samajwadi Party. Koneru Konappa, former MLA of Sirpur constituency of Kumaram Bhim district resigned from Bharat Rashtra Samithi against KCR's decision. He faulted KCR's decision to contest the parliamentary elections with BSP. Konappa announced that KCR's decision hurt him.. and that is why he is resigning from the party. Koneru Konappa contested as a Bahujan Samajwadi Party candidate in the 2014 elections and won against his nearest Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate Kaveti Sammaiah by a margin of eight thousand votes.. After that he joined Bharat Rashtra Samithi. In the 2018 election, Congress party candidate Palwai won against Harish Babu by a margin of 24 thousand votes.
In the recently held assembly elections, Konappa was defeated by Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Harish Babu by a margin of three thousand votes. In fact, everyone thought that the race for Sirpur's seat would be between Konappa and Bahujan Samajwadi Party president RS Praveen Kumar. But exceptionally Harish Babu won. In this order, on Tuesday, KCR and Praveen Kumar met and announced that they will jointly contest the Parliament elections..
