The adivasis were enraged when the victim regained consciousness after a week and told her about the atrocity. Adivasi and tribal groups have called for a bandh on Wednesday. Local riots broke out in this order. The accused Mugdum is working as an auto driver. However, the victim said that when he tried to rape the woman, she resisted and tried to kill her. In this incident, she got seriously injured and became unconscious. She is currently receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the younger brother of the victim filed a complaint against the accused at the Sirpur police station on September 1 as per the complaint given by the victim who regained consciousness. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of the SC and ST Act including attempted rape and murder. The accused was detained. Telangana DGP has issued key orders in the wake of tense situation in Jainur. Curfew has been announced in Jainur. Curfew will remain in force until the situation is brought under control, he said.
