Khammam Floods: Due to recent heavy rains, severe damage has been caused in Khammam district of Telangana state. Crops were destroyed. Villages were submerged. Houses lost their names.. Munneru flood flooded the city of Khammam. Kalvoddu, Saradhi Nagar, Sai Ganesh Nagar, Bokkala Gadda and Mustafa Nagar areas were inundated. Many people suffered serious damage as the water reached up to the first floor. As the household equipment got completely wet, they were stuck in a state of disorientation. Yakub's family went missing in Nayak Gudem village of Kusumanchi Mandal in Paleru constituency represented by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Sheikh Yakub and his wife Saidabi live in Nayakan Gudem village. They have two sons.. But due to the recent rains, the flood water surrounded Yakub's house. In moments, the flood became extreme, and there was no way for them to come out. So they climbed the wall of the house for help. In this background, there is no attempt by the authorities to save them. They tried to bring helicopters from Hakimpet, Begumpet and Vijayawada. There was no way for them to come as the weather was not suitable. Due to this, drones were brought from Mothe area and life jackets were specially provided to them. But two sons of Yakub's family put on life jackets and saved their lives.. While giving life jackets to Yakub and his wife Saidabi, the wall collapsed and fell into the water.. They were swept away by the current and died. The children's pain is indescribable as their parents die before their eyes. On the other hand, Yakub's family lived with their lives in the palm of their hands for about 8 hours. If the helicopter had arrived on time, Yakub's family would have survived. In fact, there is no attempt made by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to save them.. No matter how many ways he used his power, it did not work.. But Yakub's sons are unable to cope with their parents dying in front of their eyes. They are shedding tears after the incident. Yakub's eldest son still hasn't recovered from that shock. Everyone is moved to tears as he narrates the pain they went through that day. At the same time, there are demands that the government should support these sons of Yakub.
