Modi 3 0 How Many Ministerial Positions Are There For Which State In The Central Government

Modi Cabinet: The first coalition government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was formed at the Centre. Modi took oath as the 18th Prime Minister of the country. In the presence of President Draupadi Murmu took the oath in Hindi as a divine witness. With this, Modi created a record as the leader who became the Prime Minister for the second time in a row after the first Prime Minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru.

71 ministers

Along with Modi, 71 others were sworn in as Union Ministers by President Murmu. Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy from Telangana, Rammohan Naidu, Pemmani Chandrasekhar and Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma from Andhra Pradesh got minister posts. Along with Modi, a total of 30 cabinet ministers, five independent status ministers and 36 assistant ministers took oath. 9 freshers got a chance.

8 women in the cabinet

Modi 3.0 made room for 8 women in the cabinet. Among them, Nirmala Sitharaman and Annapurna Devi took oath as Cabinet Ministers and the other six as Assistant Ministers.

61 minister posts for BJP

In the new cabinet, 72 people, including Modi, took oath, while 61 were ministers from the BJP. Two each from TDP, JDU and RLD took oath. JDS, Shiv Sena, Apnadal HAM and RPI parties were given one post each.

State wise posts..

If we look at the posts by states, Uttar Pradesh has got the highest number of 10 ministerial posts in the Modi 3.0 ministry. After that 8 posts were allotted to Bihar, 6 to Maharashtra, 5 to Madhya Pradesh, 5 to Rajasthan, 4 to Gujarat, 4 to Karnataka, 3 to Andhra Pradesh, 3 to Tamil Nadu and 3 to Haryana. Telangana, Punjab, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Kerala, Assam and Odisha have been allocated two ministerial posts. The states of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir have been given one post each.

States that did not get posts..

There are states and Union Territories that do not have a ministerial position in the Central Cabinet.. Sikkim, Pondicherry, Daman Diu, Andaman, Chandigarh.
