Sales Of E Passenger Vehicles Down By 22 Percent Do You Know The Reason

Passenger Vehicles: In the first month of the new financial year 2024-25, sales of passenger vehicles (PV) declined. While the sales of 3.38 lakh units were recorded in April, the sales were somewhat affected due to reduced demand due to the general elections. Wholesale sales of passenger vehicles increased by 1.77 per cent to 3,38,341 units in April as against 3,32,468 units in the same month last year. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Hyundai registered slight growth in wholesale sales during this period.

Maruti Suzuki India Senior Executive Officer Partho Banerjee clarified that the flat growth in April was due to last year's comparative base. In addition to this, it was revealed that the effect of the general election was also absent. This year started with enthusiasm. Elections are going on in the country and Model Code of Conduct is in force. It is said that the passenger vehicle market will pick up again after the elections as the market will be a bit sluggish during the elections.
