That state which borders China in the north-east region is the most important for our country. Important rivers flow through the state itself. But such a state has no railway station yet. There is no record of the people there seeing the train directly. In this background, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to change the shape of the state. So far, he has tried to remove the scandal of being a state without a railway station.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi toured Gujarat extensively on Sunday and inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu bridge. Foundation stones and inauguration ceremonies were also held for development works worth thousands of crores. On Monday also, he is visiting many places in the state of Gujarat. As a part of this, foundation stones will be laid for works worth thousands of crores related to railways. In Sikkim, which is a state without a railway station in this list, train services will start soon. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of Rang-Po, the first railway station in Sikkim. This project will be completed in 3 phases. In the first phase, railway tracks, bridges and tunnels will be constructed from Rang Po to Sivok, in the second phase from Rang Po to Gang Tak, and in the third phase from Gang Tak to Nathula. Although the construction of these is expected to be completed by the end of this year, keeping in mind the unfavorable environmental conditions in the Sikkim region, the authorities aim to complete it by next year.
The northeastern state of Sikkim is a region without an Indian railway network so far. The only way to go to this state is by road. The total length of the Rong Po – Sivok rail project is 44.96 kilometers. It has 38.65 kilometers of tunnels and 2.24 kilometers of bridges. And the work related to the construction of this track will start next month. A total of 14 tunnels will be constructed in this line. Officials say that a huge tunnel of 5.30 kilometers will be constructed. Being a state bordering China, India has focused on this state as it is a very sensitive area. Development programs worth hundreds of crores are being undertaken here. The Center hopes that the connectivity of this region with the country will be established through the construction of railway station and track. Thus, it is expected that the respective areas will develop.
