Praja Bhavan: An auto caught fire in front of the Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, the official residence of the Deputy CM of Telangana on Wednesday. The accident was averted as the driver jumped out of the auto. This incident created a sensation in the state. The fact that this incident took place in front of the Praja Bhavan, which is aware of people's difficulties, has become a topic of discussion.

The driver who got down from it poured petrol on the auto and set it on fire. Immediately the police reached the spot and tried to douse the fire. But the auto was already on fire. In this sequence the auto driver was also going towards the burning auto and the police pulled him aside. The passengers were shocked to see this scene. The auto driver was identified as Devla Naik of Miyapur.
Protest against free travel for women
Devlanaik said that they had protested in front of Praja Bhavan that free travel in RTC buses was being provided to women and they were losing their jobs. Seeing the burning auto in front of his eyes, he burst into tears. He said he has two daughters, a son and a wife. He expressed that he has been living by relying on autos for ten years and that the employment of women has been damaged due to the free bus. He shed tears saying that earlier he was getting Rs.2 thousand a day but now he is not getting even Rs.500. He said that the government is not paying attention to their grievances.
