The center will give permission three months before this season. But the KCR government which was in power until recently did not send the Telangana Shakta. The Center said that even though the Congress government formed after the assembly elections came forward to send the Telangana Shaktam, the deadline has already expired. In this order, Revanth Reddy, who went to Delhi, met the Prime Minister and asked for special permission. With this, Telangana Shakta got a chance in the Republic Day Parade.
The name is special..
The Telangana shakat, which participates in the Republic Day celebrations, is named after the song Jaya Jaya written by Prajakavi Andesri. This song became very important in the Telangana movement. Recently the same name was given to the Telangana era as per Revanth Reddy's suggestion. Statues of fighters like Kumurabhim, Chakali Ailamma and Ranjigond are placed on this shakat.
Rehearsals in Delhi
Telangana Shaktam, which will perform on behalf of Telangana during Republic Day celebrations, is already participating in rehearsals in Delhi. It is noteworthy that after four years Telangana Shaktam participated in Delhi Republic celebrations. Due to differences with the BJP at the Centre, Telangana Shaktam was stopped from being sent to KCR. With the change of government, the opportunity came again.
The last time was in 2020
Telangana state was formed on June 2, 2014. So on 26 January 2015 on the occasion of Republic Day, Shaktam on behalf of Telangana shone on Kartavyapath (then Rajpath). The specialness of Telangana was shown all over the country by performing this shakat with the theme of Bonala. Then in 2020, the state got the opportunity to perform Shakta once again. Then Bathukamma, thousand-pillared temple, Medaram Samakka-Saralamma performed shakat with the metaphor of fair.
