Children want to deny their parents who birthed them, raised them and nurtured them. In the end, they are being admitted to an old age home. Such incidents have increased recently. Children who are going to other places for education and job are putting their parents in old age homes. As a result bonds and attachments are disappearing. But in today's society where such incidents are happening.. the work done by some sons is innovative. It proved how love is for a mother.
Chennamshetty Satyanarayana, who hails from Gummadidala in Sangareddy district, got married to Nagalakshmi 50 years ago. They are from Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh. Due to lack of employment in his native village, he came to Gummadila village in 1978 in search of livelihood. A small hut is being built in that town. Satyanarayana worked as a mechanic in a local rice mill. Satyanarayana and Nagalakshmi had five sons. As the sons grew up, the financial situation of their family changed completely. Satyanarayan's house used to be busy as his sons were getting married. On one occasion when her wedding took place, Nagalakshmi's tribe was so poor that they could not even wear garlands. With this, the sons and daughters-in-law came to a decision at that time. They wanted to celebrate their parents' 50th wedding anniversary.
In the meantime, Nagalakshmi died of illness. As a result, the sons could not forget their mother's appearance. She fulfilled her promise while she was alive. They celebrated their parents' 50th wedding anniversary on March 1. The mother made an idol of Nagalakshmi and placed another chair next to the chair where their father was sitting on the stage and placed the idol in it and garlanded it. Around 2000 relatives attended this event. Even though their mother passed away.. the sons fulfilled their promise to her.. they fulfilled their mother's last wish. In this society where there are sons who are not cared for after the parents are old, there is joy everywhere for the work done by Nagalakshmi's son.
