It is not enough to have a great story, the screenplay should also match it, the result of the movie will be different if either of these two is lacking. That is what Gunasekhar did in the case of Shakunthalam. The screenplay of this film is not at all appealing to the original audience, the graphics are very poor. When telling a big story, with a huge budget, quality graphic work should be done. But I don't know if Guna Shekhar felt that his market is big and took a risk to put a big budget, but he gave a very poor output in terms of graphics. Samantha's acting is good, but dubbing. I felt that it would have been better if some care had been taken in the matter. The rest of the Actors also acted well within their scope but the movie feels boring while watching it, which is a big minus of this movie.
