The director wanted to make a wonderful spy thriller film by showing three dimensions of spy in a single story. Very good concept, but the taking is routine and boring. Even though it is a new concept, we don't feel that the film has been made with a different take.
Music: Shri Charan

Nikhil is one of those heroes who take different angles and give the audience a new experience with his films. His career started with the movie 'Happy Days', after which he acted as a Hero in a few flop Movies, but it was only from the movie 'Swami Rara' that Nikhil showed his universal form. Even star heroes can't do this range of script selections, the audience used to wonder how such ideas come to Nikhil. That is why he established a permanent market for himself. And last year the film 'Kartikeya 2' in which he acted as the Hero was a sensational success in the pan India range. After that he did a movie called '18 Pages' which did average. Now he has come before us with a pan India subject called 'Spy'. Let's see if this movie impresses the audience or not.
Jai (Nikhil Siddharth) is a RAW agent. He also gets the task of stopping global terrorist Qadir Khan from committing genocide and handing him over to the Indian government. On the other hand, his elder brother Subhash also participates in a similar mission and dies. Jai also tries to find out who killed him. Apart from these two, a very important file related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is also missing, which Jay takes on the responsibility of finding. Did Jay complete these three tasks successfully? and what kind of situations did he face in order to complete these tasks?
The director wanted to make a wonderful spy thriller film by showing three dimensions of spy in a single story. Very good concept, but the taking is routine and boring. Even though it is a new concept, we don't feel that the film has been made with a different take. Movies like this are usually made in an unprecedented manner with a huge budget and a huge cast. But here it seems like the film has been made with a very low budget. If there is any interesting aspect in this movie, it is about the missing case file of Subhash Chandra Bose which comes in the second half. Some controversies have been going on for decades about Netaji's sudden disappearance. Director Garry BH has shown very well Netaji's theories and many things we don't know about him.
In terms of production values, the budget is the best. But it seems that the budget is not enough. And many scenes in this movie look silly, Qadir Khan episodes did not come up to expectations. It is very normal. And in the second half, another new villain (Jisu Sengupta) is introduced, which also does not seem effective. Garry BH failed miserably in terms of overall taking. The Songs presented by Sricharan were not very impressive but the background music seemed to be in the range of no problem. And when it comes to Actors, doing such roles for Hero Nikhil is like beaten dough, he lives as a 'raw agent'. And Aishwarya Menon also acted very well as NIA agent, Jisu Sengupta seemed okay.
Last word: If you go without huge expectations, you can be satisfied, this movie is a decent spy thriller that can be watched once.
