Because every step of the wedding is done with the belief that the bride and groom will be together happily ever after. When the wedding takes place, everyone pours rice mixed with turmeric on the heads of the newlyweds. These are called axes. If the bride and groom put this yellow rice on each other's heads, they are called Talambras. Let's find out the meaning behind the newlyweds wearing each other's heads at weddings.

The bride and groom laugh and happily shower each other with talambras. The groom first pours talambras on the bride's head, wishing for good children and prosperity. On the arrival of the bride, the groom wants the house to be rich. It is believed that by putting talambras on the head so as to hit the brain in place, the strength of the blessing mantra will increase and give wisdom. Turmeric is also auspicious and is added to rice. Along with this, the bridegroom and the bride take an oath to treat each other's relatives equally and get along with everyone. After wearing this thrice on each other's head, both the brides compete and pour more talambras.

Talambras first put rice in a coconut shell and hold it in their hands while the scholars read the mantras. After that add the rice. The mantras recited by the pundits while pouring Talambras are useful for the comfort of the newlyweds. Also, all the hardships will be removed and the child will be happy and happy for a hundred years. Our elders believe that pouring rice on the head will lead to a happy new life.

Nowadays some people consider it as a celebration and celebrate it. In this program, instead of using rice, they use thermocol balls available in the market. But elders say that these should not be used. Even half-broken rice should not be used in the Talambra ceremony. If we follow our traditions as they are, the bride and groom will be happy for the rest of their lives.
