Graduate Mlc By Election Ended Peacefully Who Has The Edge

Telangana MLC election: Polling for MLC by-elections of graduates in Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal combined districts in Telangana ended peacefully on Monday (May 27). A total of 49 people contested in the by-election. The main contest is between Chintapandu Naveen alias Thinmar Mallanna for Congress, Premender for BJP and Rakesh Reddy for BRS.

53 percent polling..

In this election, 4,63,839 graduates have the right to vote in the three joint districts. Polling ended at 4 pm. At the end of polling, 53 percent voting was recorded. There are some people in the queue. The Election Commission is yet to officially declare the polling percentage.

Ballot method

EVMs are not likely to be used in MLC by-elections as it is a preferential voting method. Polling was done by ballot method. Voters ticked their preference with a violet colored pen provided by an official at the polling station. Recently in the Lok Sabha elections ink was put on the index finger of the left hand, while in the MLC elections ink was put on the middle finger of the left hand. There is no chance to vote for NOTA in this election.

Tight arrangement..

During the by-elections, the police have made a strong security to prevent any untoward incidents from happening. Liquor shops were closed. Section 144 was imposed at the polling stations. All those in the queue were given the opportunity to vote till 4 pm. Counting of Kota MLC by-election votes will be done on June 5.

With the resignation of BRS MLC..

Elections were held in March 2021 for this graduate position. BRS Abyarthi Palla Rajeshwar Reddy won this election. In last year's assembly elections, he contested from Janagama and was elected MLA. He resigned from the post of MLC. This made the by-election inevitable.

Edge than anyone..

And the discussion of who has the edge in the MLC by-election is now going on across the state. The party leaders are alleging that BJP and BRS have united to defeat the ruling Congress. On the other hand, BJP is alleging that Congress and BRS have joined hands to defeat BJP. BRS is confident that victory in this election is theirs. The leaders of that party say that they understood what the Congress rule would be like in six months and that's why the graduates voted for BRS. This position also belongs to BRS. We have to wait till June 5 to know the result of the election.
