Viral Video: Drinking is not a good habit. It is not our responsibility to promote health-destroying alcohol. In fact, the previous government had set up wine shops across the border. A lot of the expenditure was driven by the income on alcohol alone. Since the formation of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi government in 2014 till December 2023, every year the liquor revenue has increased and not decreased. Even in advance of the next two years, the then government received applications and allocated wine shops. It also encouraged the belt shops to sell alcohol loosely. It is remarkable that the government is encouraging the Excise Department, which is supposed to prevent such things, to increase the sale of drugs. However, in the context of setting up wine shops in temples and schools without any distinction.. while belt shops are continuing as an accessory to them.. the then opposition leader Revanth Reddy announced that he will remove belt shops when he comes to power.

After coming to power.. As mentioned earlier, the belt shops were removed. But this is where the real problem started. As the belt shops were lifted, liquor came straight to the road. This business, which used to be a chatumatu affair in the past, is now a bargain of vegetables. As a strong proof of this, a video is doing rounds on social media. A video of some women selling quarter bottles of Santalo vegetables on the side of the road near John Pahad Dargah in Palkeedu Mandal of Huzur Nagar Constituency of Suryapet District is doing rounds on social media. Actually, there used to be belt shops in this area. They also sell liquor 24 hours a day. After removing the belt shops, women are selling liquor directly on the road.

Women say they buy liquor from local wine shops and sell it on the roadside. “Earlier we used to run belt shops. That's how we get income. As the government has canceled the belt shops, our income has decreased.. They are selling alcohol like this again because they don't know what else to do” said the women. They are commenting that this is what Indiramma Rajyam is.. If you believe the words of Revanth Reddy and vote in the election, you will have to face similar situations..
