This new rule came into effect from May 2.

Previously allowed upto 25 kg..

Air India used to allow baggage up to 25 kg. After the Tata Group took over, the limit was reduced to 20 kg last year. Recently it has been reduced to 15 kg. There are DCCA directives to allow free baggage upto 15 kg. With this, almost all airlines are already revising the limit. While some airlines allow only one piece of luggage, Air India allows you to carry any number of bags subject to the weight limit.

Fare classes..

Air Idea introduced different fare classes last year. Along with Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class, it has introduced three sub-classes namely Comfort, Comfort Plus and Flex. Among these, the ticket price and benefits are different. Baggage allowance up to 25 kg is allowed if you choose Enanami Fex category ticket.
