Animesh Pradhan UPSC: His father passed away nine years ago. The mother, who had battled cancer, had her period right during the civils interview. 24-year-old Animesh Pradhan from Talcher, Angul district, Odisha, has overcome the pain and progressed towards achieving his goal. He stood second in the country in the latest civils results announced by UPSC. He has finally reached his destination after a difficult journey since childhood. He achieved the 2nd rank in the country without taking any coaching. After completing his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Animesh completed his Engineering in Computer Science from NIT, Rourkela. He is working in Indian Oil Corporation refinery in Delhi.
