AP Elections 2024: YCP is firm. Along with coming to power in the state, the alliance is working to defeat key leaders. It is trying hard to defeat Chandrababu in Kuppam, Pawan in Pithapuram and Lokesh in Mangalagiri. For the last five years, the key leaders of YCP have focused on the respective constituencies. Jagan feels that the three leaders should not even touch the assembly gate under any circumstances. As a part of that, the slogan Why Not 175 was taken out. They shouted the slogan Why Not Kuppam, Why Not Pithapuram, Why Not Mangalagiri. But with the elections going on across the state, it is risky to focus entirely on specific constituencies. That's why the alliance parties are alleging that the YCP is trying to turn the people towards them by giving them tailas for these three days.
YSP has come to a conclusion that defeating Pawan along with Chandrababu is almost impossible. It is only trying to reduce the majority of those two leaders. But it is expected to defeat Lokesh in Mangalagiri and damage his political career. Lokesh, who was the sitting minister in the last election, contested from Mangalagiri and lost. There is no record of TDP winning in Mangalagiri. After the emergence of TDP, the party won only once. Lokesh choosing that constituency was an adventure. But there is sympathy in the constituency for Lokesh who lost in the last election. But the YCP hopes to damage that sympathy in a social sense. Jagan has chosen Murugadu Lavanya from Padmasali community as the candidate.
But as sympathy is being expressed for Lokesh in Mangalagiri constituency, YSP is trying to overcome it. It is being spread that they are paying at the rate of four thousand rupees per vote. And then it seems that YCP is ready to distribute liquor on a large scale. Currently, Lokesh is campaigning on behalf of the alliance across the state. But on behalf of Lokesh, other leaders took up the responsibility of campaigning in Mangalagiri. In addition to this, the alliance leaders are alleging that the YCP tribe is trying to defeat Lokesh. That is why the Election Commission wants to increase surveillance. No matter how many efforts YCP makes, it is certain that Lokesh will win in Mangalagiri with a huge majority, along with the Telugu Desam Party and the alliance ranks.
