Balakrishna: Hindupuram is one of the key constituencies in the state. Represented here by Nandamuri Balakrishna. He won the last two elections. Jagan feels that Balakrishna should not win the election. That's why Krita is determined to defeat him at any cost. But the situation is not so favorable for YCP. The decisions taken by Kasi to defeat Balakrishna are having a negative effect. They are cheating from the beginning. In fact, the Telugu Desam Party has a lot of strength in the field in Hindupuram. The party has not lost even once since its inception. Even if there is opposition to the party.. there are times when the opponents turned rebels and TDP won. Even now, such a situation is likely to arise again.
Nandamuri Harikrishna represented Hindupuram constituency along with Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. With this, Balakrishna came to the fore in Hindupuram in 2014 elections. Contested as MLA for the first time. YCP candidate Naveen Nischal won with a majority of 16,196 votes. In 2019, Balakrishna also won in Jagan Prabhanjan. The majority increased from 2014. He won with a majority of 17028 votes against Muhammad Iqbal who contested as YCP candidate. Balakrishna is moving ahead with the goal of winning for the third time with a record majority.
Key leaders have failed to bring the YCP ranks together. Jagan entrusted senior minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy with the responsibility of defeating Balakrishna in Hindupuram. He has focused on Hindupuram rather than Punganur which he represents. Spent a long time here. Iqbal, who contested the last election and lost, was given the post of MLC. They promised to give the ticket again. But suddenly a woman leader from another constituency, Deepika Reddy, was brought to the fore. Ticket was announced to her. This made Iqbal depressed. Along with party membership, he resigned from the post of MLC and joined Telugu Desam Party. Naveen Nischal, former MLA Abdul Ghani and some other leaders are acting as who they are. Balakrishna's majority is sure to increase if politics continues like this.
There has been no development in Hindupuram for the past five years. Moreover, after the entry of Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, the equations changed in many ways. There have been allegations of buying the second-tier leadership of the TDP on a large scale. There is no coordination between new and old cadre. Bahu leadership has grown in YCP. All the leaders were given nominated positions and given wings. But without giving tickets to any of them, ticket was given to a woman leader who was not related to Hindupuram. The rest of the leaders were annoyed by this. Kasi's desire to defeat Balakrishna went by the wayside. That has become a curse for YCP.
