CRISIL Report: Prices of essential commodities are increasing. In this context, the leading rating agency Crisil has released the latest key data. It said that the cost of a vegetarian meal at home has increased by 7 percent to Rs.27.3. Last year the same price was Rs.25.5. The price of non-vegetarian meal has decreased by 7 percent. Last year its price was Rs 59.2, and now it is Rs 54.9, Crisil reported.
Due to inflation
Due to inflation, maintenance of kitchens is becoming a burden. The cost has increased compared to last year. On a year-on-year basis, the price of vegetable bhajan has increased as the prices of onions have increased by 46 percent, tomatoes by 36 percent, and sweet potatoes by 22 percent. Last year, there was a shortage of uli, beetroot and tomato in the market and the money was lost heavily. Apart from this, the prices of rice have increased by 14 percent and the prices of pulses by 22 percent. At the same time, the price of meat fell by 16 percent. This reduced the cost of meals in March.

Crisil Market Intelligence and Analytics Research Director Pushansharma said that there has been a difference in the prices of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals for five months. The reason for this is said to be the fall in the price of meat and the rise in the prices of vegetables and essential commodities. He said that the price of non-veg food has increased by two percent in March as compared to February as raw material prices have increased by five percent in the country. He said that the demand for meat is high in the month of Ramzan. The price of fodder has also increased. He explained that the prices of wheat will come down in the near future if the fresh crop comes into the market.
