ED – Shilpa Shetty : Enforcement officials are taking a hard line against those who commit financial crimes. Even if there is a small loophole, they will not give up. Recently, starting from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Kalwakuntla Kavitha, the enforcement officers are not leaving anyone behind. But recently Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have joined this list. Enforcement officials have already registered a case in the fraud related to Bitcoins. An investigation has been started in this order. Besides, action has been initiated against Shilpa Shetty's couple. 97.79 crores of fixed and movable assets belonging to Shilpa's husband Raj Kundra have been attached. A residential flat in Juhu area of Mumbai city is named after Shilpa. Apart from that, the enforcement officials announced that a bungalow in Pune and the equity shares in Raj's name have been attached.
In 2017, a Mumbai-based firm called Variable Private Limited ran a fraudulent scheme named Gain Bit Coin. If you invest in Bitcoin, you will get ten percent profit per month. It collected 6,600 crores from innocent people in Mumbai and Delhi by hiring agents in multi-level manner. After this matter came out, the enforcement officials registered a case against the promoters of the company.
Amit Bharadwaj played a key role in this matter. The investigation of the enforcement officials revealed that Shilpa's husband Raj had taken 285 bit coins from Amit. It is reported that Raj plans to set up a mining farm in Ukraine through these bitcoins. But it is reported that he still has these coins, and according to the current market estimate, their value is up to 150 crores. In this order, the enforcement officials attached Raj's properties as part of the investigation of the case. This caused a stir in Bollywood.
