Financial Fraud: Anantakoti upayas are known for hundreds of crores of poor. But if they are used for good there is no problem. But it is a problem if it is used for evil and illegal means. Outlaws choose such routes. Currently, with the increase in the use of social media and digital transactions, criminals are resorting to new tricks and tricks. No matter how many different measures are taken by the cyber police, they are harassing the innocent people in a new way. But a woman named Aditi Chopra, who works in a corporate company in Bangalore, shared on Twitter X about the financial fraud she faced. Those details are in her words..
“I am in the office. A man called me and asked me to send money to his father. He said there is a problem with my bank account. After that he told me my phone number. At that moment, I received a message in the same format as a bank credit SMS. Before my phone I got a message saying INR 10,000 credit. After that I got a message that INR 30,000 has been credited. All this happened while the person was on a call with me. But he said that he had to send only three thousand to his father. He said that he sent 30,000 accidentally. He stated that he is in the hospital.. He needs to pay the doctor. Aditi said that he asked to send the remaining 27,000.
While talking to him on the phone, Aditi checked those messages carefully.. Those messages came from a ten digit phone number. Not from the branded company ID.. Suspicious of this, Aditi immediately checked the balance in her bank accounts.. No money was found in it. Meanwhile the other person cut the call. When Aditi tried again, her number was blocked. She brought this to the attention of the local police. They sent that number to the cyber crime police. Aditi took a screenshot of the messages she received and posted it on Twitter X. Bangalore has created a Cyber Cell Police Department for it. Many people responded to this post..”My father fell into the trap of such a scam. He actually sent the money, thinking that the account had been credited. We were deceived. A netizen said that they have lodged a complaint with the police. I got valuables. Another netizen commented, “If you have to pay money for them, you have to be careful if there are so many financial frauds.” Aditi's tweet has now gone viral on “X”.
Another day, another financial fraud scheme
TLDR: Please read and make sure you don't trust any SMSes regarding financial transactions.
