Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao: The Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi is facing a series of setbacks. Kanna Rao was arrested by the police on the charge of grabbing two acres of land in Manneguda of Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Rangareddy district. In a venture called OSR Project LLP there is about two acres of land in survey number “32/R” in Manneguda. A person named Bandoju Srinivas recently complained to the Adibhatla police that Kannarao tried to occupy this land belonging to them last month. Even though the police had registered a case, he again complained to the same police on the 3rd of last month that he had arranged to occupy the place again.
When the police conducted an investigation, it was found that the representatives of the OSR project company… Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao, Jakkidi Surender, Jakkidi Harinath, Shiva Daniel and some others threatened them while they were living in a container on that land. As a result of this, the police got into the field after receiving complaints about this place. A total of 25 people have been included as accused. Police investigation revealed that Kanna Rao's role was crucial among them.
The police have registered a case against Kanna Rao under sections 147, 148, 447, 427, 307, 436, 506 red with 149. So far, the police have arrested 9 people in this land dispute case. But as Kanna Rao was abroad till recently, a look out notice was issued against him. In this case, Kanna Rao tried twice for anticipatory bail but the court rejected it. As a result, the police arrested Kanna Rao on Wednesday and sent him to remand. “Bandoju Srinivas complained that Kanna Rao tried to grab his land. He made another complaint on the 3rd of last month that he tried to seize it again despite the case being registered. In this our investigation revealed that Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao, Surender, Harinath, Shiva, Daniel and some others are accused. So far 9 people have been arrested in this case. Adibhatla CI Raghavender Reddy said that a case has been registered against Kanna Rao under various sections. Meanwhile, after the coming of Revanth Reddy government, Bharat Rashtra Samithi has seriously focused on the irregularities that happened when it was in power. In this context, political analysts say that the arrest of Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao has to be seen in that light. They say that the matter will not stop with the arrest of Kanna Rao. They say that there will be a more in-depth investigation into the land grabs that took place during the previous government's regime.
