Kalvakuntla Kavitha: The verdict on the bail petition filed by former Telangana Chief Minister KCR Tanaya Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who is in Tihar Jail in the Delhi Liquor Scam case, will be delivered on Monday (May 6). Delhi Special Court Judge Kaveri Baweja will give judgments regarding bail in both the cases registered by ED and CBI.
Arrested on March 15.
ED arrested ED Kavitha on March 15 in liquor case. CBI also arrested Kavitha on April 11 with a PTI warrant while she was in judicial custody in that case. Kavita filed separate bail petitions in connection with these cases. Kavitha sought interim bail in the ED case saying that she has to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother in the background of her son's exams. On the other hand, as a star campaigner of BRS, he wanted to go for election campaign in Telangana because there were some issues related to women and he sought bail in the CBI case.

Her lawyers argued in the court that she had nothing to do with the liquor case and that she was arrested on the basis of the statements of others and that she was eligible for bail as she was a woman. On the other hand, these two bail petitions were opposed by the investigating agencies. They pleaded to the court that if Kavitha is granted bail, evidence may be destroyed and the investigation will be affected. Arguments on these petitions have already been completed. The verdict was reserved till May 6.
High court if not bail
If Kavitha is not granted bail in the special court, the lawyers for Kavitha think that they should go to the High Court immediately. On the other hand, Kavitha's judicial custody will end on Tuesday. If bail is not received on Monday, she will have to appear before the judge on Tuesday. Kavitha has already requested the court to make her appear before the court directly this time instead of through video conference.
