Kavitha: BRS MLC and former Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao's poem in the Delhi liquor scam case has been re-engraved. Rouse Avenue Court refused to grant bail. Kavitha, who is in Tihar Jail, has filed separate bail petitions in ED and SBI cases. He said that he should participate in the campaign as a star campaign in the background of the elections. As a woman, she is eligible for bail under Section 45 of PMLA.
Rejection of petitions
The trial court reserved the verdict till May 6. Judge Kaveri Baweja of the Delhi Special Court delivered the verdict on Monday morning. Orders were issued rejecting Kavitha's bail petitions. Recently, during the trial, Kavita and ED's advocates heard their arguments. Her lawyers argued that Kavitha was arrested without any evidence. He said that he was arrested on the basis of the statement given by the accused. It was brought to the attention of the court that the CBI had arrested him while he was in ED custody. He said that Kavitha is a star campaigner of BRS and has to campaign on behalf of the party in the Lok Sabha elections.
Investigating agencies not to grant bail.
The investigating agencies requested the court not to grant bail to Kavitha. It is said that Kavitha is a very important and powerful woman in the liquor case. They said that the digital evidence has already been destroyed and if bail is granted, the investigation will be hampered and the evidence will be affected. It was brought to the court's attention that Kavita was the mastermind and protagonist in the case. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the judge issued an order denying bail to Kavitha.
Earlier interim bail petition..
Kavitha filed an interim bail petition last April. She asked the court that her son is undergoing tests and she has to perform her responsibility as a mother. It has been requested to grant interim bail. Even then ED opposed Kavitha's bail. The special court refused to grant interim bail.
