In 1983, the first car from Maruti hit the roads. Since then lakhs of vehicles are being produced and made available every year. Hisashi said that on the one hand, to attract customers, on the other hand, they are strengthening the operations by fixing the prices according to the market conditions. So far ten models from Maruti such as Alto, Swift, Wagon R, M800, Dzire, Omini, Baleno, Eco, Brezza and Ertiga have achieved records.
Hisashi stated that they have supplied 3 crore units across India for 40 years and four months. Of these, more than 2.68 crore vehicles were manufactured in the Haryana plant. Suzuki Motors, a subsidiary of MSIL, manufactured more than 32 lakh vehicles in Gujarat. Currently 18 models of Maruti are available. Out of these 9 cars are selling through Arena dealership and 8 cars through Nexa dealership.
