South Indian top star heroine Samantha is now making a separate mark for herself by choosing different roles. Samantha, who recently got a super hit with the lady oriented movie 'Yashoda', now comes before us with the movie 'Sakunthalam'. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film is based on Mahakavi Kalidasa's book Abhigyana Sakunthalam and will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam along with Telugu. Recently, the premiere show of this movie was held at Prasad Multiplex in Hyderabad. The show got divided talk from the audience. But as the movie is released today, we are going to see how it is overall in the movie in this review.
Story:
This is a love story between his parents Dusyanta Maharaja (Dev Mohan) and Shakuntala (Samantha) before the beginning of Mahabharata and the era of Bharata. One day after they get married, Durvasa Mahamuni (Mohan Babu) comes as a guest to the cottage where they are staying, Shakuntala makes all arrangements to entertain the guest, but Shakuntala hesitates to entertain Durvasa Mahamuni by hitting him in the distraction of Maharaja Dusyanta. Enraged, he curses Durvasa Mahama that he will forget about whomever you are talking about. After that, what kind of situations Devi Shakuntala faced and how she reached Dushyanta Maharaj beyond the curse of Durvasa Mahama, has to be seen on the silver screen.
Analysis:
Anyone who has read the Mahabharata book will know the story of this movie. When we read the book, the visuals appear in our mind, that is the best thing about this epic poem. Everyone wants to see these visuals if they are made properly in the form of a movie. If the movie is to be made according to the visuals, the cost should not be reduced at all. But everyone watching this movie will understand that Gunasekhar and producer Dil Raju were afraid of the cost of this film. The graphics, which should be amazing, are not at least average. It seems that there is no problem in terms of taking, but the producers have backed down in terms of quality. That is the big minus of this film, and when it comes to Actors, what is special about Samantha, she knows how to live in any role, and she has done the same in this film.

But it would have been better if the dubbing had been done by another dubbing artist instead of her. And Dev Mohan, who played the role of Dushyanta Maharaja, also acted in the same way that it doesn't matter. What we have to talk about in this movie is Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha. As long as Allu Arha, who appeared in Bharathu's childhood role, we see only her, not other Actors, she looked so good on the silver screen to watch. In terms of Actors, they acted well according to their roles. The whole failure lies with the director, he failed in terms of screenplay and taking, as well as with the quality of graphics. As a result, trade pundits say that there is no possibility of this film reaching the expected commercial level.

Those who like Mahabharata can try this movie once. The 3D version feels better than the 2D version. If you go to this movie expecting graphics and quality, you will be disappointed.
