Sheena Bora: The murder case of Sheena Bora, a young woman from Mumbai, shook the nation. Sensational things have come to light in this case. Sheena Bora, working as an executive in Mumbai Metro One, went missing on April 24, 2012. On the same day, her boyfriend Rahul Mukherjea received a breakup message from Sheena's phone. She also resigned from the job. She was not seen after April 24. Suspicious, the police went to the residence of Sheena Bora's mother, Indrani Mukherjea, in Orli. Indrani Mukherjea told the police that Sheena Bora went to America without telling anyone.
Indrani Mukherjea along with Sheena Bora's step father Peter Mukherjea and Indrani Mukherjea's car driver Shyam Var Pinturam Roy were arrested in August 2015 with the evidence found in the subsequent investigation. Indrani and Peter are prominent people in the society. Indrani Mukherjea is the founder of INX Media Co. He ran a recruitment company named INX Services Private Limited.
The Sheena Bora murder case shook the nation. Cases have been registered against Indrani who was arrested under various sections. She was moved to Mumbai's Byculla Women's Jail. Indrani Mukherjea spent almost six years in jail. Currently out on bail. The Sheena Bora murder case is still pending in court. A documentary series titled Indrani Mukherjea's Story: Buried Truth was made based on this case. It will be streamed on Netflix.
The CBI objected to the streaming of Indrani Mukherjea's story documentary on OTT while the Sheena Bora murder case was pending in court. In the background of Indrani Mukherjea being the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, the CBI approached the Mumbai Special Court to stop the streaming of Indrani Mukherjea's story on Netflix. The CBI has asked for orders not to telecast the documentary on Indrani Mukherjea's story on any platform till the verdict of the case.
CBI Special Judge SP Naik Nimbalkar sent notices to the Netflix company as well as the concerned persons. The Indrani Mukherjea Story documentary is scheduled to stream on Netflix from February 23. A hearing on the stay order sought by the CBI will be held on February 20.
