Varsha, a woman from the state of West Bengal, is 35 years old. Married and has children. According to their tradition, her parents pierced her nose when she was five years old. After reaching her teenage years she made her nostrils bigger and added various designs to it. But in this process, the screw related to the nose splinter was blown. It was so small that it went straight into the lungs when she breathed through her nose. Varsha did not notice that the screw had gone like that. After a few days, Varsha had trouble breathing. When she told this to her husband, he took her to the hospital. The doctors who conducted the tests told her husband to undergo non-invasive surgery.
