But in this election, everyone thought that Tammineni would be replaced by YCP and a new candidate would be fielded. The dissident leaders complained to the high command from time to time. They said that YSP will win only if Tammineni is changed. However, the high command did not listen. Moreover, Tammineni tried to silence the dissident leaders. Their party posts were removed. They were deprived of any status in the party. As a result, former MP Suwari Gandhi, chairperson Suvarna of the District Library along with their relatives resigned from the party.
