At once, it made an announcement on Friday evening, lifting the minute provision.
The Board of Intermediate Education officials on Friday decided to allow a grace period of five minutes if the students reach the examination center late. It has been suggested to the officials of the respective districts and the Chief Superintendent of the Centre. Moreover, the previous one minute rule has also been relaxed. According to the latest rules, students should reach the examination centers by 8:45 am. A delay of five minutes will be allowed to the exam centers. It was announced that students who come late after 9 am will be allowed a grace period of five minutes. Inter authorities have advised the respective district officials and other staff to allow a grace period of five minutes if the students reach the examination centers late due to various reasons.
Earlier one minute rule was in force. Because of that, many students were not able to reach the exam center on time… and were depressed due to not appearing in the exam. Some students committed suicides due to the guilt of not being able to write the exam. In this context, the Inter Board relaxed the previous rule. Moreover, it has announced that they are running RTC buses specially for students. The parents of the students are happy with the decision taken by the Inter Board. If this decision had been taken earlier, the two students would not have committed suicide. Many analysts say thanks to the intermediate board for coming to its senses.
