Story:
Police officer Aryan Dev (Bharat), a friend and colleague of ACP Arjun Prasad (Sudhir Babu), is shot dead while receiving a gallantry award. While on the phone with his boss Mohan (Srikanth), Arjun Prasad reveals that he has identified the killer. In that very next moment he gets involved in an accident. He forgets the murderer and the case. Suffers from selective memory loss. Arjun Prasad has made a full recovery, but it will take a long time for his memory to return. However his superior Mohan reassigns the case to him and asks him to identify Aryan Dev's killer. The real story is how successful Arjun Prasad was in finding and catching the killer for the second time.

Sudheer Babu previously acted as a police officer. But this is a very different story. The twists in his character are entertaining. Sudheer Babu has played the role of acting priority. This is a big risk for any actor. Sudheer Babu took up the challenge and played the role in his own way. Sudhir's lack of a heroine in this film is sensational. The whole story is in a serious mode without any romance. Bharat played Sudheer Babu's friend. He fits the part perfectly. Srikanth as the police chief impressed well..

The film appears to be a standard investigative thriller, but its climax focuses on an unexpected character and gives a twist. Unpredictable storytelling, frequent flashbacks help the viewer guess the identity of the killer. However, as the story progresses, shocking things unfold. The plot centers around this twist.

Director Mahesh made some changes in the original Malayalam script. The beginning of the movie is attractive. However, the middle part of the film seems to deviate from the main plot.. adding unnecessary elements.
While Sudhir Babu's willingness to play new roles is commendable, the response from the audience may be mixed. It can be said that the movie would have been different if the plot twist had been presented more convincingly.
Overall, Hunt” is a thriller film with a unique unexpected twist. But it is up to expectations. If there is a more attractive story, it would have played in a range.
