Indian Railways: Many people still vote for trains to travel long distances. The railway department has also made available the advanced facilities so many are willing to go there. Recently, Vande Bharat trains have been made available by the Railway Department, so many people are opting for them for long distance travel. But some people do not buy tickets for these journeys. Bogies change after bogies without being found by TCs. Although they cannot be caught all the time.. but sometimes the TCs catch them. A delinquent fee will be charged. A nosebleed fine is charged. Sometimes imprisonment is also imposed. However, some people travel by train without a ticket.
In fact, our railway system is the fourth largest in the world. Every day lakhs of passengers go to other places by trains. Railway charges are also available for baggage. But these trains have some rules. If they are violated, the railway department will file cases. Penalties are imposed. But those traveling in these trains must buy a ticket. If you travel without a ticket, the railway department will not let you down. If found traveling without a ticket, a delinquent fee will be imposed. In this way, the railway department has collected 173.89 crores as fine from the passengers in one year. Western Railway Division conducted checking by TCs in several trains from April 2023 to March 2024. By doing this, 173.89 crores were collected by the Railway Department. Out of this, 46.90 crores came in the form of fines from Mumbai region.
And in the last month of March, the railway department collected a penalty of 16.77 crores. Railway officials are conducting checking activities to stop unauthorized journeys in AC bogies. Officials took this decision after receiving complaints from passengers. Around 60,000 passengers were found to have traveled without a ticket from April last year to March this year. A fine was collected from them. Some were also sent to jails. But compared to last year, till March of this year, more than 25% of the passengers traveled in trains without a ticket in the checking of railway officials. It is said that the number of people making unauthorized journeys is not decreasing even though the authorities are doing checks at that level.
