Allipur of Jagityala district and Veenavanka of Karimnagar district recorded the highest temperature of 46.8 degrees. Temperatures above 45 degrees were recorded in 26 districts across the state. Hyderabad recorded a temperature of 44 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alert for many districts across the state due to scorching sun. However, officials of the meteorological department said that yellow alert will be issued for many districts on Monday. It is mentioned that there will be rains with gusty winds on May 7 and 8. According to the meteorological department, orange alert has been issued for Nirmal, Jagityala, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sirisilla, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Vanaparthi and Jogulamba Gadwal districts. It has been suggested that people should not come out between 12 noon and 3 pm.

The highest temperature is recorded in Jagittala district of the state. Temperatures have been recorded above 46 degrees in many mandals for two days. On Saturday too, the temperature crossed 46 degrees. The hot roads are boring. People are shivering with heat and cold. Apart from Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Narayanapet and Nizamabad districts, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy and districts also recorded temperatures above 46 degrees Celsius.
