Tirumala Tirupati: The rush of devotees continues in Tirumala. Due to the summer holidays, there is a possibility that the crowd of devotees will increase. That is why the TTD officials are taking steps to meet the rush. Due to the large number of devotees, the darshan of Swami is taking time. It takes 15 to 17 hours for the devotees who get Sarvadarshanam tokens. Yesterday alone 81,224 people visited Srivara. Out of which 24,093 people have submitted talanilas. An income of Rs.4.35 crores was collected for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam through Hundi on this one day.
At present, the inter examinations have been completed along with the tenth class. Exams for other classes are also likely to be completed this month. That is why the rush continues. Devotees are waiting in 21 compartments. In this background, the 9th of this month is the Ugadi festival of the Telugu year. Arrangements are being made to organize it in TTD. On the same day, in the presence of thousands of devotees, the Telugu New Year Ugadi Asthana will be performed scientifically in Srivari Temple. Against this backdrop, Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be held at Srivari Temple tomorrow. The priests clean the temple on that day. Ananda Nilayam, golden porch, upalayas, temple premises, walls, roof, puja paraphernalia etc. are all cleaned. On that day, Mula Virat is completely covered with cloth in the temple.
This is done four times a year. It is customary to hold Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on the next Tuesday before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Srivari Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadashi. After this purification, the temple is visited and the darshan of the Lord is given to the devotees. But in view of the rush of devotees this year, the TTD officials took a crucial decision. TTD officials said that VIP break darshans have been canceled in view of temple purification on Tuesday. Those who have applied for VIP darshan are requested to note this.
