Kalvakuntla Kavitha : Enforcement officials arrested BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha in Delhi liquor scam. Of course no one expected them to come to search. On Thursday afternoon, 12 officers from Delhi came to Kavitha's residence under CRPF security. Searches have started. Later, the local police were informed. KTR got into an argument with the officials of the investigating agency that how could Kavitha be arrested without a transit warrant. “What you are doing is wrong” he expressed anger. The ED said to the officials, “We will resolve it legally and we will cooperate with you.” On the other hand, Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief KCR, Harish Rao, Santhosh Kumar and Prashant Reddy met with Kavitha's arrest. Discussions were held on how to proceed legally in the wake of ED Kavitha's arrest. Actually, the rose leaders did not expect that Kavitha would be arrested. Recently, Kavitha challenged the summons issued by the ED in the liquor case. A case was filed in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case to March 19. Kavitha accused the ED of not following CrPC norms while investigating the women. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court. In that complaint, she stated that the ED should give directions not to take any action against her. However, the ED has told the Supreme Court that no action will be taken till the verdict on this petition. That is why Kavitha's lawyer Soma Bharat, who is familiar with the searches, expressed surprise at the arrest. “Does ED ignore the hearing of Kavitha's petition in the Supreme Court? Why these searches at this time? There is no need to arrest her,” said Soma Bharat.
After Kavitha's arrest, ED officials booked a special flight from Begumpet airport at 8:45. From there, they will go directly to Delhi and take them to their office in a special vehicle. There they take her into their custody. After that, the rest of the investigation process will continue. In the background of KTR's questioning how Kavitha will be arrested, there was tension in her house on one occasion. CRPF forces made heavy security at Kavitha's residence.
