Largest Snake: There are thousands of species of snakes around the world. Some of them are toxic while others are non-toxic. There are many species of snakes in our country. But Indians consider the cobra to be sacred. Cobra snakes also have varieties. There are the largest species. Recently, scientists have identified the presence of the largest snake in India. A related fossil was found in Gujarat. The snake vertebra in the fossil is said to be the remains of a snake longer than the dinosaur T rex (vertebrae).

Actually this fossil was identified in 2005 by scientists from IIT Roorkee. But after many researches it was recently confirmed as the largest snake fossil. It was named Vasuki Indicus. Around 27 vertebrae have been identified in this snake.
Not poisonous..
It is estimated that it will be like the biggest hill snake. It is claimed that it is not poisonous either. The length of this snake is estimated to be 50 feet. Its weight is said to be up to one ton. Vasuki is declared as a slow moving ambush predator. Debijit Dutta, paleontology researcher at IIT Roorkee, said it lived in swampy areas.
Relationship with Shiva
In the research of scientists, the origins of this snake species have been discovered. In this sequence, it was found that this snake fossil is actually related to Lord Shiva. Scientist Debijit Dutta said that this is why it is named Vasuki.
The biggest snake..
Titanobava snake from Colombo is recognized as the biggest snake on this earth till date. Vasuki was recognized as the equivalent snake. Titanobava was 43 feet long and weighed almost a ton. Compared to Titanoboa in body length, Titanoboa's vertebrae are slightly larger than Vasuki's. Here it is not possible to say whether Vasuki is thinner or heavier than Titanoboa. The reticulated mountain snake of Asia (33 feet long) is recognized as the largest living snake.
